Wexford County Council Pilot Scheme
Project Description
This project was part of a retrofit pilot scheme between Wexford County Council and SEAI. It was carried out and part funded under SEAI’s Warmer Homes Area Based Programme 2014.
SE Systems were contracted to install energy upgrades to 36 homes in St. Brendan’s Estate, Rosslare Co. Wexford. 94% of the homes are energy poor.
The project included installing a range of energy measures including;
Cavity wall insulation | Roof insulation | Oil Fired Central Heating | Window & door upgrades | Magnicleanse | Chimney Draught Stop
As Main Contractor and PSCS for this project SE Systems carried out the following roles.

Safe and efficient delivery of project in compliance with Health & Safety Authority legislation. Daily safety audits were conducted during works by SE Systems designated Safety Officer.

A detailed Site Safety Management Plan, Task Specific Risk Assessments and Detailed Method Statements were prepared and approved by concerned parties prior to commencement of works throughout the various program stages.

The site was registered and updated with the HSA through the AF1 and AF2 online process.

Daily safety audits were conducted during works by SE Systems designated Safety Officer.

SE Systems as main contractor appointed sub contractors for various trades from their approved contractors list. Each contractor was fully briefed in their role and were issued with a detailed programme of works outlining start and completion dates.

SE Systems conducted weekly site meetings with all contractors and reviewed works programme until completion.
