Project Description
 
This project was carried out and part funded under SEAI’s Better Area Based Scheme 2013 and 2014.
 
In 2013, moderate energy upgrades were installed to 67 mixed ownership homes in various locations in County Limerick.  70% of the homes are energy poor.  In 2014 moderate energy upgrades were installed to 179 local authority homes in various locations in Limerick city.
 
SE Systems were appointed as Main Contractor and PSCS for deep retrofit of Energy Efficient Measures. The scope of work carried out within these projects included:

As Main Contractor and PSCS  for this project SE Systems carried out the following roles
 
  1. Safe and efficient  delivery of project in compliance with Health & Safety Authority legislation.Daily safety audits were conducted during works by SE Systems designated Safety Officer. 
  2. A detailed Site Safety Management Plan, Task Specific Risk Assessments and Detailed Method Statements were prepared and approved by concerned parties prior to commencement of works throughout the  various program stages.
  3. The site was registered and updated with the HSA through the AF1 and AF2 online process.
  4. Daily safety audits were conducted during works by SE Systems designated Safety Officer.
  5. Weekly site meetings with all contractors and reviewed works programme until completion. 
  6. SE Systems as main contractor appointed sub contractors for various trades from their approved contractors list.  Each contractor was fully briefed in their role and were issued with a detailed programme of works outlining start and completion dates.
