Project Summary
This project was carried out and part funded under SEAI’s Better Energy Communities (BEC) Scheme 2014.
This project involved linking Multiple Partners and Services across a whole Community in order to deliver greater Energy Efficiencies encompassing Residential and Community buildings as well as Retail. The services upgraded included Teach na Daoine Family Resource Centre, a Crèche, Supermarket, Private Homes and Sheltered Housing Unit.
SE Systems were appointed as Main Contractor and PSCS to co-ordinate, survey and install the following energy upgrade measures.
Air Source Heat Pumps | Evaporator Units | Buffer Tanks | Heatmiser Smart Zone Control Systems | Remote Access Controls | Condensing Oil Boilers | Space Heating Stoves | Cavity Wall Insulation | Attic Insulation | Low Energy Lighting | Oil Pay As You Go | Building Energy Ratings
SE Systems was the Main Contractor for this project. As Main Contractor, SE Systems carried out the following roles:

Project Management.

Health and Safety Co-ordinator.

Appointment and Management of Sub-Contractors to include all trades.

Scheduling of Work Programmes and administration of weekly site meetings.

Co-ordination of Services.

Liaise with Tenants on a daily basis.

Quality Control of all Energy Upgrade Measures.

Maintenance of SEAI - Technical and Quality Standards.

Issue of External Wall Insulation Warranties and Homeowner Aftercare manuals to Homeowners who receive External Wall Insulation.
The success of this project lies mainly in the innovative partnership approach taken with all project partners, SEAI, NCE Insulation, SE Systems and Electric Ireland.
