SHARE, Cork
Founded in 1970, SHARE is a Cork based Charitable Organisation which provides accommodation and day-care facilities for the City’s Elderly Poor.
This project involved the boiler and heating controls upgrade of Mt. St. Josephs, an 1890’s constructed listed building which houses 42 Senior Citizens in individual apartments and includes facilities such as a community kitchen, dining hall and a creative arts unit.
A major achievement on this project was that works were completed in a confined space with limited timeframe without any loss of heating and hot water to the elderly residents.
The scope of the work for this project is as follows:

Project Management.

Health and Safety Co-ordinator.

Appointment and Management of Sub-Contractors to include all trades.

Scheduling of Work Programmes and administration of weekly site meetings.

Co-ordination of Services.

Liaise with Tenants on a daily basis.

Quality Control of all Energy Upgrade Measures.

Maintenance of SEAI - Technical and Quality Standards.

Issue of External Wall Insulation Warranties and Homeowner Aftercare manuals to Homeowners who receive External Wall Insulation.
