Project Summary
This project was carried out and part funded under SEAI’s Better Energy Area Based Scheme 2014.
As Main Contractor, SE Systems completed the Deep Retrofit and Energy Upgrade of this 1960s constructed Local Authority Apartment Block in Togher, Cork city.
The residents benefited from energy efficient upgrades in terms of external wall Insulation, window and door replacements, electrical and echanical installation and associated works.
67% of the homes were energy poor. This project was completed successfully in 8 weeks.

External Wall Insulation | Window and Door Replacement | High Efficiency Boiler Installation | Smart Heating Control upgrades | Attic Insulation | Pipework & Water Tank Insulation | Roof Repairs | Tiling & Ventilation | Low Energy Lighting Upgrade
As Main Contractor for this Project, SE Systems carried out the following roles:

Project Management.

Health and Safety Co-ordinator.

Appointment and Management of Sub-Contractors to include all trades.

Scheduling of Work Programmes and administration of weekly site meetings.

Co-ordination of Services.

Liaise with Tenants on a daily basis.

Quality Control of all Energy Upgrade Measures.

Maintenance of SEAI - Technical and Quality Standards.

Issue of External Wall Insulation Warranties and Homeowner Aftercare manuals to Homeowners who receive External Wall Insulation.
The success of this project lies mainly in the innovative partnership approach taken with all project partners; SE Systems, NCE Insulation, SEAI, Cork City Council and REIL.
