Project Summary
This project was carried out and part funded under SEAI’s Better Energy Communities (BEC) Scheme 2014.
Good Shepherd Training & Education Centre, Bruac Eile, Redemption Road Cork is a centre for the development of life skills and the education and training of 16 to 35 year old girls and women who have not completed their second level education.
The scope of the work for this project is as follows:
Energy Audit & Consultancy Services | 4no High Efficiency Gas Boiler Upgrades | Zoned heating Controls | Water storage facilities upgrade | Attic Insulation & draught proofing | Cavity wall insulation | BERs | Measurement & Verification of Energy savings
As Main Contractor for this Project, SE Systems carried out the following roles:

Project Supervisor Construction Stage.

Project Management.

Health and Safety Co-ordinator.

Appointment and Management of Sub-Contractors to include all trades.

Scheduling of Work Programmes and administration of weekly site meetings.

Liaise with Tenants and Island Energy Committee on work schedules.

Quality Control of all Energy Upgrade Measures.

Maintenance of SEAI – Technical and Quality Standards.

Issue of External Wall insulation Warranties and Homeowner Aftercare manuals to Homeowners who received External Wall Insulation.
The success of this project lies mainly in the innovative partnership approach taken with all project partners; SE Systems, Electric Ireland, NCE Insulation and SEAI.
