Project Summary
This project was carried out and part funded under SEAI’s Better Energy Area Based Scheme 2014.
SE Systems were appointed main contractor for the Innovative Deep Retro-fit of 32 Local Authority Apartments in Sunview, Fairhill, Cork.
SE Systems were appointed as Main Contractor and PSCS to co-ordinate, survey and install the following energy upgrade measures:
External Wall Insulation | Window and Door Upgrade | High Efficiency Boiler Installation | Smart Heating Control Upgrades | Attic Insulation | Drylining | Pipework & Water Tank Insulation | Low Energy Lighting Upgrade | Passive Rainwater Harvesting Systems | Electrical | Painting | Carpentry
As Main Contractor for this Project, SE Systems carried out the following roles:

Project Supervisor Construction Stage.

Project Management.

Health and Safety Co-ordinator.

Appointment and Management of Sub-Contractors to include all trades.

Scheduling of Work Programmes and administration of weekly site meetings.

Liaise with Tenants and Island Energy Committee on work schedules.

Quality Control of all Energy Upgrade Measures.

Maintenance of SEAI – Technical and Quality Standards.

Issue of External Wall insulation Warranties and Homeowner Aftercare manuals to Homeowners who received External Wall Insulation.
The success of this project lies mainly in the innovative partnership approach taken with all project partners; SE Systems, NCE Insulation, SEAI, Cork City Council and REIL.
