Naas Town Hall


Project Summary
 
This project was carried out and part funded under SEAI’s Better Energy Communities (BEC) Scheme 2014.
 
Naas Town Hall is a 3-storey building, originally built in the 17th century and built to its current format in 1903. Floor area approx. 1,010m2.
 
Naas Town Hall is a very active building with a wide variety of activities taking place each day and evening. As the building is old considerable amounts of heat loss are present.
 
The project was a unique collaboration between Kildare County Council, Council Chambers and the Local Community. SE Systems installed the most cost effective energy up-grades and heating system. 
 
The scope of the work for this project is as follows:
 
Attic Insulation  | High Efficiency Gas Boiler | Radeco Remote Control Heating  | LED Lighting | Magni Flush & Filter 
 
 
As Main Contractor for this Project, SE Systems carried out the following roles:
 
  1. Project Management.
  2. Health and Safety Co-ordinator.
  3. Appointment and Management of Sub-Contractors to include all trades.
  4. Scheduling of Work Programmes and administration of weekly site meetings.
  5. Co-ordination of Services.
  6. Liaise with Tenants on a daily basis.
  7. Quality Control of all Energy Upgrade Measures.
  8. Maintenance of SEAI - Technical and Quality Standards.
  9. Issue of External Wall Insulation Warranties and Homeowner Aftercare manuals to Homeowners who receive External Wall Insulation.
The success of this project lies mainly in the innovative partnership approach taken with all project partners; SE Systems, Kildare County Council, Council Chambers and the Local Community.
